On windy days, we all have to ‘suffer’ the rubbish that someone else dropped on the street.
Why can’t people just put their rubbish in a bag, and leave it in the correct place and time? How hard can it be?
Some true neighbours are now picking up someone else’s rubbish, out of community spirit, civility and good manners, since the Council doesn’t have the manpower to keep the streets clean, nor the determination to act with authority, and fine the ‘infractors’, because of political interests. In the end, we all lose: from time, to money, to the sense of community.
You know who the people who litter and ruin our streets are; perhaps we should stop considering these antisocials just a funny nuisance, because there’s a short step from mischief to illegality and crime.
